Notification regarding the Bank of Lithuania's system updates
Please be informed that, on Friday evening and on Saturday, on March 17-18th, the Bank of Lithuania plans to update the payment system therefore the payments will be temporarily unavailable.
The updates carried out by the Bank of Lithuania may affect not only the provision of payment initiation services, but also the activities of all banks operating in Lithuania, i.e. banking and card payments, during this period:
- On Friday evening, March 17th, there will be no clearing at 9 pm. This will affect that, instant payments initiated after 4 pm on Friday will reach your bank accounts on Monday, March 20th, starting from 7 am in the morning. The instant payments initiated before 4 pm on Friday will be executed as usual.
- On Saturday, March 18th, from 5 am until 8 pm the main updates of the system of the Bank of Lithuania will be carried out, therefore temporary disturbances of the execution of all payments are possible during this period.
- On Saturday, March 18th, from 12 pm until 12.30 pm the Bank of Lithuania‘s systems will be unavailable, this will affect that, payments will not be processed during this period.
All times listed above indicates Lithuanian time zone (GMT+2). This information is relevant for all payments made from Lithuanian bank accounts abroad, from abroad to Lithuanian bank accounts, and within Lithuania.
